CONCUSSION POLICY

In accordance with the policies of the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, Skate Ontario has developed a Concussion Policy (Rowan's Law) for the sport of figure skating in Ontario. This law is designed to create a safer environment for all athletes.

It is important to recognize the signs and symptoms of a concussion and what to do if a concussion happens.

Port Hope Figure Skating club has a responsibility under this law to ensure that all skaters, parents, coaches, and other designated persons have confirmed they have reviewed the required Concussion Awareness Resources and Concussion Codes of Conduct.
